Does your central heating system suffer any of the following problems?
The Problem - Corrosion
Central Heating Systems corrode internally, when there is air in the system, producing black iron oxide sludge deposits. These particles stick to all surfaces, causing premature failure of pumps, valves and even blocking boiler heat exchangers. The overall efficiency and service life of your system is greatly reduced.
The Solution - Power Flush
Drain-Medic will Powerflush your system removing all iron oxide sludge, rust, flux residues, debris and limescale.
One by one radiators, heating coils and all pipework are powerflushed using our Proflush Proffessional machine together with approved cleaning additives. The whole system is then flushed with clean water before being tested using electronic TDS and pH meters to ensure clean and neutral readings.
Finally following powerflushing an approved inhibitor is added to the correct dilutions and circulated throughout the system.
The Proflush Proffessional machine is removed and the central heating system reinstated. The heating is turned on and the radiators are balanced to optimise your system efficiency.

The Problem - Limescale
Hard water contains calcium and magnesium ions and when hard water is heated these salts form as hard scale inside hot water appliances and any adjoining pipe-work. This build up of scale will continue as more and more calcium is deposited and will lead to blocked hot water heat exchangers, especially in combination boilers.
The solution - Descale
Drain-Medic connects their Proflush Proffessional machine directly to your combination boiler. We add approved descaler chemicals to the Proflush machine circulating tank and circulate this through the heat exchanger. The blockage (limescale) steadily dissolves, producing C02 which appears as foaming bubbles in the machine tank.
All new central heating systems should be pre-commission cleansed as per BS7593 and Benchmark. This ensures that any flux residues, excess jointing compounds, mineral oil and other manufacturer/installation contaminants are removed. These can affect the performance of the heating system or cause component failure. This will completely void your boiler warranty from the manufacturer.
It is important when installing new boilers into old systems that all sludge is first removed from the system or this could circulate and accumulate in the new boiler and lead to premature failure. Again this will completely void your boiler manufacturer's warranty.
